This month saw Mealzo crown Local Heroes of the Month for outstanding contribution towards Glasgow Pride and the march that was held in Glasgow on the 25th of June. Chris Tait and Gary Maguire MBE are the most fun, energetic, and philanthropic people we have ever had the pleasure of collaborating with. Their generosity and kindness can be felt throughout Glasgow and their hard work is greatly appreciated.
Here at Mealzo, it was decided to honour and acknowledge the effort and time Chris and Gary have given, particularly throughout Pride Month 2022, and award a very special edition of our Local Hero trophy. Mealzo became the official food ordering sponsor for the Pride Glasgow march and began making arrangements to join the parade. Two very bright orange cars and a group of rainbow decorated staff members later, it was a pleasure to soak in an electric atmosphere as we marched through the streets of Glasgow to celebrate community, social and self-acceptance, achievements, legal rights, and pride.
Chris and Gary went through an enormous amount of planning to ensure the march was a success. People marched in the tens of thousands to support the community. With the dedication and passion for their work, the march was an excellent success. There were bands, music, vehicles, flags, banners, and much more. An amazing sense of community was felt throughout thanks to their hard work.
Throughout the year, Chris and Gary partake in multiple different charity endeavours, and have devoted their lives to helping out wherever they can, including creating their own charities. They are pillars for their local communities, and it is without doubt that Mealzo will be looking for more opportunities for us to team up again for the wider community.
Congratulations to our Local Heroes of the Month, Chris, and Gary. Thank you for your amazing contributions and kindness to our city. We wish you health, happiness, and success.
