Modern Slavery Policy

Our Statement

This statement has been published in accordance with section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (‘MS Act’) by Mealzo . We set out the actions that we implement during our operating period to ensure that Modern Slavery does not take place in our supply chain.


Mealzo is a platform (marketplace) providing online ordering service to create a direct link between customers and local businesses. We allow customers to place online orders for available services through our platforms. Services on our platform are independent from Mealzo and majority of them are small, independent businesses though we may also operate services internationally.


All our staff work at offices which are operated by the{" "} Mealzo. The Mealzo Human Resources team (HR) are responsible for hiring, contracting and the wellbeing of staff in the workplace. Due to the nature of our business our supply chain is not limited to the United Kingdom.


Mealzo commits to respecting and following Human Rights and we will apply all applicable laws in the way we run our business. Mealzo aims to ensure that there is no slavery, forced or compulsory labour, servitude, human trafficking or other forms of human exploitation stated by the Modern Slavery Act within our network. Mealzo implements the Modern Slavery Policy along with our Code of Conduct which illustrates the standards the business and staff are expected to abide by and our commitments to be ethical and act with integrity in all our relationships. We have a Safe-Space policy where staff can bring up their issues in complete discretion.


As a new business we have conducted a risk analysis to assess where risks to Modern Slavery may be present.

Mealzo is committed to continuing focus on Modern Slavery. We will work to further improve our process and take all necessary steps to review our policy where appropriate.
